About the Institute
The Institute of Spintronics and Quantum Information (ISQI) has been appointed on January 1, 2021 by Prof. Bogumiła Kaniewska, the Rector of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. The Institute has been established on the initiative of three departments from the Faculty of Physics: Department of Mesoscopic Physics, Department of Nanostructures Physics and Department of Nonlinear Optics.
The main scientific interests of the Institute encompass the most fundamental aspects of spintronics, magnonics, phononics as well as quantum physics, quantum matter, quantum information and circuit chromodynamics. The conducted research is important for designing the nanodevices processing, transmitting and storing the information in classical or quantum form. Our scientific investigations are focused on the theory and numerical simulations, however, experimental studies on magnonic and phononic nanostructures are also carried out.
