Three NCN PRELUDIUM projects led by Krzysztof Szulc, Piotr Majek and Anand Manaparambi was accepted for financing by NCN in the framework of PRELUDIUM call. Among seven projects financed by NCN in the panel ST3 (condensed matter), three will be realized in ISQI. Krzysztof’s project is the first one on the ranking list.

In October 2021 our Faculty announced the competition for the best Master thesis. M.Sc. Patrycja Tulewicz won the competition in the field “Astronomy, Biophysics, and Physics“.

National Science Center Poland recommended for founding a project: “Guidance, control, and amplification of signals in strongly coupled electromagnetic-magnonic systems“, led by Prof. Maciej Krawczyk. The project is realized in framework of OPUS-LAP program in collaboration with the group of Prof. Jamal Berakdar from Halle. The budget of the project is 1 071 681 PLN.

The APS published the commentary Kondo Cloud in a Superconductor in the Physics 14, s140, in section Synopses, about the paper by Ireneusz Weymann Phys. Rev. Lett. 127, 186804 (2021) . We are posting the reprint of the commentary by Rachel Berkowitz.

On October 15, the Prime Minister awarded seven individual prizes and one group prize for academic achievement in 2020. One of individual awards was given to Prof. Adam Miranowicz “for pioneering scientific research on the foundations of quantum technologies“.
