I will discuss the theoretical studies of hybrid quantum dot systems coupled to normal and superconducting electrodes. In particular I will analyze charge currents and fluctuations, and show how obtained results help to optimize relevant parameters for efficient Cooper pair splitting. Moreover, I will discuss quantum interference in three-site model leading to formation of the dark states and interplay of this non-trivial effect with superconducting correlations. In final part of the talk I will present the results of dynamical studies with emphasis on dynamical phase transitions in mesoscopic superconducting systems.
