The concept of the symplectic covariance property of the Wigner distribution function and the symplectic invariance of the Wigner-Rényi entropies is presented. It is shown how to use this concept to estimate the interaction time of the scattered quantum state moving in the presence of scattering centres. The presented analysis is carried out in the above-barrier regime.
